Two days after he was acquired for minor league right hander Akeel Morris, the New York Mets welcome Kelly Johnson back on Friday. Johnson is due to be activated for the 8 10 p.m. ET game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.

Because Morris was on the 40 man roster http://www.nymjersey.com/jerry-blevins-jersey-c-2.html, the Mets will not need to free any space for Johnson. They nonetheless will have to open a spot on the major league roster. Matt Reynolds would appear the most likely to be ticketed for Triple A Las Vegas, with Ty Kelly seemingly the alternative.

Matt Harvey opposes 4 8, 4.95 ERA opposes right hander Junior Guerra 3 1, 3.61 .

Harvey has allowed only one run in 14 innings over his past two starts.

Dunn is from Freeport. Kay is from Stony Brook and a product of the same high school as Steven Matz. In the second round, the Mets selected power hitting Florida first baseman Peter Alonso with the 64th overall pick. Mets director of amateur scouting Tommy Tanous said team officials did not purposely attempt to draft locally, or aim to select college players or pitchers. Dunn will pitch for Boston College in a super regional on Friday against Miami on ESPNU at 5 p.m. ET. Read more in the Post, Daily News, Times, Newsday, Record and at MLB.com.
